About Dr. Michelle Rothen
Dr. Rothen was born and raised in upstate South Carolina. She received her undergraduate degree from the College of Charleston and her medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies in Orlando, Florida where she was honored with the Carlan Resident of the Year Award, the Exemplary Physician Award and a resident Teaching Award. She enjoys traveling and is fluent in German.
She focuses her medical practice on general obstetrics and gynecology, including comprehensive obstetrical care, high risk obstetrical care, infertility evaluation, routine gynecology, and minimally invasive gynecology including laparoscopic and robotic surgery.
Dr. Rothen joined our practice in 2013 and practices exclusively at Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies and cares for patients at our Winter Park and Oviedo offices.

Honestly she was amazing, Dr. Rothen was super attentive super caring for my comfort level, she explained the procedure I went in for and offered more information when I asked. The staff was also great and check in was immediate - just had to fill out forms that were sent by text and was quickly seen after! Super smooth experience and I’m very happy I chose Dr. Rothen and the Women’s Care clinic :)

This was one of the best doctor visits I've ever had. I usually get anxiety but Dr. Rothen listened to all my concerns and we came up with solutions to everything. She was great to talk to and I felt no anxiety at all.

I’d had Dr. Rothen for a few years in my 20’s, but my insurance changed their accepted healthcare providers, forcing me to go elsewhere. 5 years later, I got a new insurance that had Dr. Rothen in-network, so I absolutely came back. She’s literally my favorite doctor ever.

Dr. Michelle Rothen is the Best Gynecologist in the world! She’s very sensitive and delicate during exams for us ladies ;-). She is also very happy to provide a birth control prescription and takes her time explaining all the options and answering your questions. She’s amazing! Words can’t praise her enough. She’s the first doctor to perform an exam on my lady parts that didn’t make me want to die instead. Lol! Ladies don’t hesitate to call her for all of your OB-GYN needs!
