After the initial tele/health consultation, the doctor will advise you when to schedule a face to face visit if deemed necessary.
Dr. Miguel Avila-Rondon is a compassionate primary care doctor and internist serving patients at his practice on the Upper West Side of New York City. Dr. Avila-Rondon attended Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud where he earned his medical degree. From there, he went on to complete his residency at the Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center.

I made an appointment to test STI. I clearly claimed so when I made the appointment as well. But when I was there, I found out they did not have the kit, so I needed to come back a few days after.
But not only that. The appoint was in November 2020, and the crazy part is, I still haven't got the result!!
I had to call the office everyday for a week to get the result and I couldn't catch him because he's always busy and eventually I gave up to hear the result...

I had a horrible time at this doctor's office today.
My former PCP recently moved, so I was looking for a new Primary Care doctor. First, no one buzzed me into the office, and I had to wait for someone to leave because they 'forgot' that they buzzed someone into the building.
Then, it took forever for them to validate my insurance. I brought the same info and ID cards/etc that I always do and they couldn't find me or validate me, so I eventually had to call my insurance company and put them on the phone with the receptionist. I had already been sitting there for 40 minutes past my appointment time when they told me this was an issue, so it took even longer to resolve it and I waited for a total of 1.5 hours past my appointment time.
Since I registered as a new patient, the nurse took me to do the usual blood test, urine sample, ekg, etc., I am NOT good at having my blood taken and almost always faint and get really anxious. That being said, it's usually a quick procedure and I don't normally have issues. I told her this and she reassured me, but then when she actually inserted the needle she started talking to me about all the vein/blood/medical things even though my eyes we closed and I clearly didn't want to talk about veins. It took her three tries to get my vein in my arm, and then told me she couldn't get enough blood and it was coming out too slow. She took the needle out after getting 1 and half vials of blood and I told her I needed something to drink or Id pass out. She ignored me and told me she needed to try my hand to get more blood, and then again couldn't get a vein. She ended up throwing out all the blood she did take, and told me to try again next time. She also told me NOT to tell the doctor this because (her words) "he's rough and will not care if you're nervous).
SO then I saw the doctor and holy he was ridiculously unprofessional. It is easily the most uncomfortable I have ever been in situation like that. He did rude gestures when talking about breast exams, wouldn't stop asking me why I didn't have children, how many I wanted, etc.,. When I told him I have a heart murmur he said "oh that's probably because a boy took a piece of your heart". When I said that I'm sexually active he winked at me, and then asked how many 'boys I've been with', and when I told him just one and I live with my partner (so STDs are not an issue), he kept talking to me about kids and marriage and how I have to complete my life with them. Just sooo unprofessional, uncomfortable, and really bordering inappropriate sexual conduct.

I waited for an hour to see him. I was the first person there but an older hispanic woman was seen before I was.
While in there with him, he made a few comments that I felt was distasteful.
I will continue to go back to him only because he is close to me place and I really just need referrals from him.

I cannot say enough nice things about this doctor and his entire staff. They were kind and made you feel like they really cared. Plus, I am frightened of getting my blood taken and she got the vein on the first try (that is big for me!).
I had a billing question and the doctor's son runs the billing department and he literally took me from panic to calm with his caring approach. This is the way doctor's practices should be run!

This was the worst medical experience I've had in my entire life. This doctor significantly overlooks leading to hour plus wait times. Also, he uses a very unreliable lab that gave me false positives twice because it was handled poorly. The office staff is not helpful. The doctor is a nice man but ordered blood work and didn't look at it until I called almost a month later. Had I not called in I could have had serious issues were there anything wrong. This is not the doctor you should pick.
