About Dr. Mika Hirano
Dr. Hirano graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor’s degree in Movement Science. This was where she learned to appreciate the complex nature of the human body and human biomechanics. She then graduated from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine to earn her doctoral degree. She completed her three-year residency training at Ascension St John Hospital in Detroit, MI, where she served as chief resident in her final year. Dr. Hirano has had extensive training in podiatric surgery and is Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine, Board Qualified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery, and Board Qualified by the American Board of Multiple Specialties in Podiatry. Dr. Hirano is also a member of American Podiatric Medical Association and American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. She has also been actively participating in medical research and has published several articles.
Dr. Hirano has a broad interest in the field of podiatry, specializing in foot and ankle reconstruction and cosmetic surgeries, minimally invasive surgeries - including cryoablation and Tenex procedures, sports medicine, biomechanics, and foot and ankle trauma. Dr. Hirano is passionate about keeping her patients active on their feet, which she believes is key to staying healthy.
During her free time, Dr. Hirano likes to stay active by running, cycling, and practicing barre and yoga. She is a former barre instructor and an avid runner and loves to bring her experiences into her practice to better help her patients.

Dr. Hirano did for me what three podiatrists over the past 6 years failed to do: Correctly diagnose me. And she did it in less than 15 minutes!!! She was professional, easy to talk to, gentle, and thorough. She carefully explained what was going on with my foot, and made me feel seen when I told her about my previous experience with podiatrists. She offered to have my treatment done the same day even, and was encouraging when I said I would prefer to do it a different day. I am so grateful for her, and these reviews sold me when I was unsure.
Also, the office is pristine, staff super friendly and on top of things. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

The doctor was professional, respectful engaging me in treatment options. Receptionist, the medical assistances were amazing and very friendly - didn’t get a full read on the doctor’s surgical consultant, except that, she seem impatient and really anxious to to secure a surgery date. Which is not really a bad thing, but she called me minutes after I left the office while I was in transit and in pain, trying to get off me foot. I just didn’t understand the logic of call me so soon, particularly since I have not met with my PCD, for clearance. I just think it could have waited, at least until the next business day. She may have been juggling many things that day, again I didn’t get a full read on her. I do expect this doctor to perform my surgery. I recommend this doctor.

Never have I ever been received such lovely customer service at a medical office, from the front desk to the technicians - all around. I was offered water twice by different staff and asked how my visit was twice as well. This experience is how all doctor visits should be.

This is a very clean, comfortable and warm office. The staff was friendly, professional and helpful. It is easy to get to and all exam rooms are named after areas in Manhattan which gave it a cutesy look. Dr Hirano was attentive, flexible and extremely nice and responsive. I traveled from the Bronx and will continue to do so as I liked the experience. I highly recommend but call first to make sure they are still in your provider network

Dr. Mika Hirano removed a stubborn wart. I went to multiple doctors and they just applied an acid. It didn't work. Dr. Hirano has the latest technology and got rid of my wart in just 2 visits. I wish I came here sooner I would have saved more money.

The entire staff at Gotham Footcae are incredible I was greeted immediately with a warm welcome and enthusiasm. And my visit just got better from there. Everyone excelled my expectations and I knew with Dr. Hirano I was in the best hands. The office is immaculate, bright and clean.
