Getting to know Dr. Mikayla Panich
Mikayla Vican is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She earned her Bachelor of Nursing degree from South College in 2018 and her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in 2022. Since 2014, she has also served in the United States Air Force as an Aerospace Medical Technician. Mikayla has experience caring for patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings and provides psychiatric evaluation and medication management to patients aged 8 years and older.
Her areas of focus include depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, psychotic disorders, substance use disorders, dementia and cognitive-related disorders, men's and women's issues, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. She is passionate about supporting veterans, reducing the stigma of mental health treatment, and employing therapeutic and preventative strategies while treating her patients from a holistic standpoint.
Mikayla's goal is to make her patients feel heard and understood while providing hopeful and supportive care to promote overall well-being. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, being on the water, hiking, attending sporting events and live music, and always seeking out new experiences.
