About Dr. Mikhail Zusmanovich
Mikhail Zusmanovich, MD specializes in general orthopedics and sports medicine surgery, including hip, knee, and shoulder arthroscopy; internal fracture fixation; and general fracture care.
After graduating with honors from UC Santa Barbara, Dr. Zusmanovich attended medical school at the Keck School of Medicine at USC, where he earned Dean’s recognition and MSP recognition in Musculoskeletal Anatomy. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at NYU Langone Health in Manhattan and his Orthopedic Sports Medicine Fellowship at Cedars-Sinai Kerlan-Jobe Institute in Los Angeles. Dr. Zusmanovich has been published on topics from arthroplasty and joint reconstruction to hand surgery and hip arthroscopy.
While completing his fellowship in Los Angeles, Dr. Zusmanovich was the assistant team physician for the LA Galaxy, LA Angels, Anaheim Ducks, LA Sparks, and a variety of teams at Loyola Marymount University. He is an avid rugby player, a second-degree black belt in Take-Kwon Do and a 1st degree black belt in Hapkido.
He is a member of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons, the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, and the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, and is fluent in Russian.

This was my first appointment second orthopedic surgeon. Awesome so far no need to keep looking. Office needs an update the doctor actually cared it was nice to see not just 5 minutes goodbye.

Previously I was seen by another Orthopedic provider in an entirely different office /group.
I felt like my health concerns were not be addressed for the period of time I was with that other group, and the office staff at the other group were curt with their patients.
How refreshing it was to walk into the office of Dr. Zusmanovich and be welcomed by their office staff. They called me in within moments of my arrival. The medical assistant was kind and reassuring when I shared my concerns. The doctor did not rush and responded to all my questions. I was treated and scheduled for a follow up "to make sure everything is going well". The greatest impression was when I was checking out and the front desk staff member actually said "it was so nice to meet you today". A smile and positive welcoming attitude make such a huge difference - and THAT is why this office deserves 5+ stars. You can see they are a cohesive team. Bravo.

I saw Dr. Z as a new patient because I was I pretty severe pain from trigger finger/trigger thumb. His bio said he was a hip specialist so I was a little concerned having booked the appointment through ZocDoc. I had an appointment with a hand specialist for this plus carpal tunnel symptoms but I simply could not wait anymore. He was able to see me and assured me that he could treat this. In fact, he gave me the steroid shot at that visit providing much needed relief from the pain. He was very thorough and explained what was happening. The pain was gone about 24 hr later, but the trigger/snapping open/close of the thumb is still there, so I will be seeing the hand specialist soon. He was super nice and I highly recommend him!

Booked on Zocdoc, they have a 240 pm appointment left, I really needed fluid drained from my knee. So I was looking for a doc for Saturday appointment found this. , and I booked it. Called the number it said the office was closed. When I got to the appointment the office was close. BIG waste of time

Dr Z was great. He took the time to listen to me and thoroughly explained my calf injury. He even drew a diagram of the injured musculature so I could understand exactly what happened. For once I walked out of an office feeling like I had all the information I needed. I would absolutely recommend.
