What should a new client know about working with you?

My goal is to establish a trusted relationship and supportive environment in order to help my patients to meet their needs, build coping skills, enhance their strengths and resolve symptoms. I strongly believe in compassionate and nonjudgemental approach. I enjoy working with patients of all different backgrounds, religions, sexual orientations. My approach is patient centered and individualized. I am a double certified psychiatrist in General psychiatry and Psychosomatic medicine. I also have a strong background in internal medicine which I practiced before my career in psychiatry. I enjoy working with patients with complex medical problems in combination with psychiatric illness. My expertise is psychopharmacology. I use Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Interpersonal therapy and Coaching in combination with medication management in my practice. With CBT, we'll explore how your thoughts can affect your emotions and actions. During treatment I will help you to identify and modify these thoughts which precipitate symptoms of depression and anxiety. My area of expertise are Depression, Anxiety , PTSD and Mood disorders.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

During your initial visit we'll explore in details your current problems as well as previous history, including medical history and psychosocial background in order to establish diagnosis. Then we'll discuss appropriate treatment modalities and together tailor personalized treatment plan which would best help your needs. I use Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Interpersonal therapy and Coaching in combination with medication management in my practice.
