Hello, I'm Dr. Mirriam Knight, a faith-based licensed clinical psychologist and a certified transformational coach with the John Maxwell Team. With over 17 years of experience in mental health and wellness, and more than 15 years working with governmental and non-profit organizations, I am dedicated to helping individuals achieve optimal wellness and wholeness.
My mission is to heal and empower you to live a life of destiny by addressing wounds, blockages, and areas of dysfunction that may be holding you back. I am passionate about transformation and change, and I am committed to breaking barriers, challenging oppressive systems, and helping you discover your voice and God-given assignment.
I believe in developing an individualized approach to therapy, integrating psychological, spiritual, social, and transformational coaching methods. This approach is formulated from a comprehensive assessment of your sociocultural history and other factors contributing to your presenting problems and symptoms. I am particularly passionate about serving leaders, visionaries, helpers, and those who are constantly available for others but have no one to support them. These individuals and couples often experience burnout, grief, and multiple traumatic experiences that affect every area of their lives, including health, relationships, faith, work, and overall wellness.
Our sessions together will be a journey into truth and healing, which may often be the hardest thing you have ever done. You will feel heard and supported, and you will also be challenged to shift internally so that you can experience external changes. I believe that the majority of healing and transformative work takes place between sessions, as you reflect and implement the strategies we explore during our time together in your daily life practices.
