“I arrived very early as I didn’t know how long it would take to. drive due to construction. I was welcomed right away and started paperwork. After paperwork completed I didn’t wait more than 5 minutes before nurse called me back to room. Dr Challis came in very shortly. He took his time and explained everything he was doing and also explained tests he suggested for me. This was done after exam. Dr Challis was friendly and made sure I didn’t have any other questions. Whole appointment was very smooth and friendly. Would highly recommend Dr Challis and his office. ”

About Dr. Mitchell Challis
Dr. Challis was born and raised in Olathe, KS. He served a mission for his church from 1998 to 2000 in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala. He graduated magna cum laude in 2004 from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology. He attended the University of Kansas School of Medicine and was a member of the Virchow honor society. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in 2009. Dr. Challis completed his General Surgery internship and residency in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Memphis in 2014.
Dr. Challis is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and licensed by the Kansas and Missouri State Board of Healing Arts.
He enjoys all aspects of otolaryngology and speaks Spanish fluently. He and his wife Alexis are busy raising 5 children. He enjoys coaching some of their soccer teams and watching them play basketball. In his spare time he likes camping, back packing, playing tennis, and reading history.

I was feeling pretty hopeless and upset, dealing with some extreme nausea and fatigue for almost a year. I had been to different specialists, endoscopy, lots of rounds of various treatments.
I just wasn’t getting any better.
Dr. Challis listened carefully to me. He was patient and kind. He figured out what was wrong with me and was able to treat me for the cause of the illnese. I am very happy… and relieved! I have hope I will feel good again.

I loved that I didn’t need a referral to be seen for my ear issues. I knew my ears were having problems so it was great to be able to be seen by an ENT quickly. The doctor checked my nose for sinus issues. I also had a hearing test conducted on the spot. It was amazing and I was told what was going on and prescribed meds! So grateful and it was so easy!
