Greetings, I look forward to serving you as your mental health provider!
With more than 25 years of Mental Health experience, I am very knowledgeable in Diagnosing Mental Health Disorders, such as Bipolar and Mood Disorders, Depression, ADHD, Schizophrenia, and related diagnoses, PTSD, Conduct and Behavior Disorders, Anxiety and Sleep Disorders, as well as Dual Diagnosis and treatment. I have over 13 years of experience in prescribing and ongoing Management of all Psychotropic Medications. I have prescriptive authority and DEA License to prescribe controlled substances to qualifying clients. I also specialize in Individual and Family Psychotherapy.
My approach to providing mental healthcare consists of positive thinking through psychotherapy, therapeutic communication with open dialogue between myself and client, and medication management utilizing the best evidence-based practice guidelines.
Being a woman of faith, I firmly believe in “treating others the way I would like to be treated.” As a divorced mom of 2 sons (one of whom was on the Autism Spectrum and currently resides in Heaven), I am nurturing by default, and I have a great love and respect for individuals with mental health disorders. I am enthusiastic about helping others and grateful for each opportunity I receive to make someone's life a little better, by the grace of God. You will find I have a personable demeanor, knowledge of mental health diagnoses and treatment, and I am very relatable, as I have experienced and been treated for many of the traumas, losses, and diagnoses that I am currently treating clients for. Because I personally know what it feels like to be on the other side, I am extremely passionate about taking exceptional care of my clients while being mindful of affordability and efficiency!
