Very good and thorough. Called me himself to tell me I had an issue. Very personable. 5 stars
If I could give zero stars I would. If been with Dr. Elhassan for about 3 years after moving here. I feel like over this time I was not getting the care I needed. I had thyroid cancer in 2011 in Louisiana. My doctor had me on brand name Synthroid and Cytomel. Dr. Elhassan said I could take the generic and didn't need the Cytomel. I didn't question him. I was use to my Endocrinologist himself doing the ultrasound to check the thyroid bed. He doesn't. I've actually started with a new Endocrinologist and so far so good. He did change my Synthroid back to the name brand. Also, this past week I ended up in the Houston Methodist ER in The Woodlands. My bloodwork showed possible cardic issue and an abnormal EKG. The bloodwork showed my thyroid was 9.8 which is very high. I was so weak, short of breath, dizzy and nauseated. All over the issues was because my thyroid levels were way off. The hospital doctor put me back on the Cytomel. It will take a few weeks to get the levels built back up. This has been a very traumatic week for me and my family. We all thought I was having cardiac issues. I also have psoriasis and have a major flare up because of all the stress.I'm thankful that Houston Methodist was able to find out what was wrong. I did not like the fact that you couldn't talk to someone when you call either. When you call you had to leave a message or could get a text link to them. I do not plan on return to Dr. Elhassan for treatment and DO NOT recommend him.

If you want a doctor who tells you that the medicine is just a placebo effect and that it’s all in your head, this is your guy. If you want a doctor who tells you there is no need for hormone testing and that he wouldn’t test for something he isn’t going to treat, then this is your guy. If you like your doctor to show a little attitude, this is also your guy.
