About Dr. Molly Chartier
Dr. Molly Chartier is a native of Connecticut. She attended the University of Virginia as a Jefferson Scholar where she was named the Dow Outstanding Junior Chemical Engineer and graduated Summa Cum Laude from the honors engineering program with a major in chemical engineering and a minor in biology. After her undergraduate education, she worked for three years with Johnson & Johnson Consumer Products Companies, developing skin care products. Dr. Chartier then attended the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and completed her medical internship year at UConn as well. She began her dermatology training with a one year Wound Healing Fellowship Program of Boston University Medical Center at Roger Williams Medical Center. Dr. Chartier also completed her dermatology residency and dermatopathology fellowship at the Roger Williams/BU program. In her residency she was given the "Excellence in Scholarly Activities" award and served as a chief resident during her final year. Dr. Chartier has been published in peer-reviewed journals such as the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, and has lectured at local hospitals. She has focused her career on general dermatology and dermatologic surgery for patients of all ages.

I have been a patient at NEDA for 5 years, this was my first time in the Portsmouth location. The check in was smooth although the staff were unfriendly and not helpful. The medical assistant/nurse that takes you into the exam room was also unfriendly and non accommodating. The doctor was satisfactory

Dr. Chartier is a great, thorough, caring doctor. She looks at the whole person. HOWEVER, I am very very very unhappy with how NEDA is run. It has become so cumbersome that you can't even get a prescription called in without multiple things going wrong. It took 36 hours and 4+ phone calls to get a time sensitive prescription faxed to the pharmacy. I was told it was in the queue. Next call- oops technical problem. Next call-it's all set now. Next morning -still no rx at pharmacy. Next call:
another assurance and promise it has gone through. Four hours later, the pharmacy finally got it. By then, I had cold sores blooming all over my mouth and nose. When you call, you get transferred all over to different offices and teams. Missed a call yesterday with biopsy results. Called back - bounced all over then told I'd be called back. 24 hours later, no call.

After disappointing dermatology care at a previous provider, a friend referred me to Dr. Molly Chartier from Northeast Dermatology. She was exceptional in her professional manner, and very thorough during the exam, clearly explaining her procedures and findings, while not rushing me out the door. I would recommend her without any reservations.

The PA was very loud and shouted my personal information in the room and in the hallway. I could hear her right through the wall, so I assume other rooms could also hear her.
The doctor didn't appear to be interested in helping me and rushed through my appointment.

Dr. Chartier was FANTASTIC! She also had a great assistant in the room with her. She is very clear and explains everything she is doing. With regards to the office and office staff, very welcoming and everything was right on time. Nice atmosphere in the office as well. I highly recommend Dr. Chartier and NEDA!

I went in for a skin cancer screening, and Dr. Chartier was very friendly, and explained different skin issues, and what to look for. I was pleasantly surprised at her thoroughness, when she commented on a tiny scar I have had since I was about 4 years old.
