Getting to know Molly McLaren

Hello, I'm Molly! I am passionate about helping clients get in touch with the parts of themselves that are struggling. My goal is to fully understand these parts and bring balance and healing to your internal mental and emotional experience. My primary modality is called Internal Family Systems (IFS). If you've ever seen the movie Inside Out, it's kind of similar to that! IFS helps us explore and understand the different 'parts' of ourselves, leading to greater self-awareness and harmony within. In addition to IFS, I also utilize Mindful Self-Compassion, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and behavioral problem-solving strategies. I work with clients on self-regulation, coping skills, personal boundary setting, healthy communication, and executive functioning. Whether you're dealing with ADHD, anxiety, autism spectrum support, depression, family or intimate relationships, learning disorders, life transitions, medical issues, OCD, perinatal support, phobias, stress, or trauma, I'm here to help. I grew up near Atlanta, Georgia, and completed my undergraduate studies in Asheville, NC. In 2007, I moved to Fort Collins for graduate school at Colorado State University, and I've loved it here ever since! Fort Collins has become home for me, my husband, and our two sons. We enjoy hiking, camping, and skiing together. Personally, I also love reading, especially fantasy and psychology books. As a Licensed Psychologist with a PhD, I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to our sessions. My approach is compassionate and client-centered, focusing on creating a safe and supportive environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment. If you're ready to embark on a journey of self-discovery and healing, I'm here to support you every step of the way. Let's work together to bring balance and harmony to your life.
