She was president of the USF National Student Speech Language and Hearing Association Chapter. In August 2010, she began her graduate studies at the University of South Florida, where she earned her Doctor of Audiology degree in 2014. While in graduate school, Dr. Barnes served as president of the USF Student Academy of Audiology Chapter. In her spare time, Dr. Barnes enjoys spending time with her family and pets.
