Getting to know Dr. Monika Singhal
With over 20 years of experience treating Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, and other conditions, I am dedicated to providing comprehensive care tailored to each patient's needs. I offer evening and weekend appointments for patients who cannot take time off from work. I have a special interest in working with healthcare provider burnout, integrating therapy and family input into cohesive treatment plans. My approach emphasizes the importance of sleep, nutrition, and exercise in overall mental health. I earned my Doctor of Medicine from Temple University and completed residencies in Psychiatry at both Saint Louis University and Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I am so excited to add Telepsychiatry to my current practice located in Texas. I am Board Certified in adult Psychiatry and have over 20 years of experience. Telepschiatry provides the ability to serve patients living greater than 60 miles from my current practice location. In addition, it provides privacy in accordance with state and federal laws.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
Once you schedule, my office staff will call you to discuss your needs and confirm that my practice will be a good fit for both of us. You may be asked to provide additional lab work and testing results when appropriate. Patient paper work will be sent to you and must be completed within 24 hours of booking the appointment. Please provide Zocdoc with your current insurance information. After your Evaluation is complete, my staff will check a DPS report regarding prescription history for controlled substances in accordance with Texas regulations. If you were prescribed medications during an appointment, they will be sent electronically to your pharmacy on the next business day. An appointment does not guarantee that medications will be prescribed. My office does have a no show policy. Currently, I am in network with some BCBS plans and traditional medicare. Please contact your insurance policy for an authorization number or a case reference number verifying you called prior to booking an appointment. I reserve the right to cancel the appointment on your behalf if you do not have authorization from your insurance to proceed with the appointment. You can always reschedule the appointment once you obtain the authorization/case reference number as required by your insurance plan.

I am currently in network with some Blue Cross Blue Shield plans and traditional Medicare. Please contact your insurance company to obtain an authorization number for Telepsychiatry visits. Many BCBS plans require a prior authorization for telemedicine. Failure to obtain a prior authorization may result in nonpayment by the insurance company and the patient becomes responsible for the total cost of the visit. Please get a reference number for every call made to your insurance company.
