I am a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I have been caring for individuals and families as a nurse for the last 14 years. I enjoy assisting my clients find comfort and relief through collaborative, holistic and judgment free approach. I have compassionately treated individuals at the crisis center with severe cases of sexual/physical trauma, depression, anxiety, mood swings, personality disorders, anger, and psychosis. Nothing is taboo. My approach to care involves working as a team with the client and tailoring the treatment plan according to the needs of the client, I feel this approach allows for better compliance which results in positive outcomes. I have experience in treating Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, ADHD, Mood and OCD. I have also worked with clients in mental health crisis and assisted in stabilization and follow up care. In my sessions with the clients I have a listening ear that is judgement free, this allows me to provide the care that is specifically tailored to the needs of the client. My philosophy of practice also involves a holistic approach to care, this allows us to explore the root cause of the concerns. I started my career as a floor nurse in 2011, initially working on the medical floor I was able to experience and care for individuals with physical ailments. However, I quickly realized that there was a psychological component in the disease process which was never addressed. This made me pursue psych nursing and I never looked back. I am blessed to find my passion, this translates into excellent care for my clients. My approach to care is based on the foundation of collaboration with the client, I am here to serve your needs. In order to do that, we will work together in setting goals and my function would be to assist you in achieving those goals.
