They made suggestions and some medication changes that turned out to be very beneficial, as I struggled greatly with chronic pain and many other health conditions. Dr. Kumar went to medical school at Madurai Medical College and worked at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences as a Resident and Chief Resident in Pediatrics. He did Pediatric resident and Chief resident at Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY in 1998. He completed his fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in 2006. Dr. Kumar enjoys caring for patients requiring critical care medicine to include sepsis, respiratory failure, and traumatic brain injury. He has also developed an interest in outpatient pediatric medicine including ADHD and Dermatology. He is an avid reader and learner who has vast clinical experience to pair with being abreast of the latest medical research and recommendations. He is currently practicing at Via Christi Hospital in Wichita, KS and Topeka ER and Hospital in Topeka, KS. He enjoys learning from and inspiring growth into his own children, his wife’s cooking, watching movies, and reading.

We have been seeing our Dr for about a year now. Every time we see him he is very nice, easy to talk to and understands our concerns. He also has clear orders and talks about side effects of the drugs we r taking so they are easy to understand. Anytime we need to talk to him he is easy to get ahold of and gets us in as soon as he can.
