What is your typical process for working with clients?

I believe the first step to a successful therapeutic relationship is the joining/ connection between therapist and client. It’s important to me and to the process that clients feel comfortable speaking to me. My role is to be a support, sounding board and provide guidance and interventions to help client deal with their concerns. I’m down to earth and will always be straightforward with clients.

I booked three separate appointments with this practice. The first she was a no show, the second they moved my appointment without telling me to to a time I could not attend and the third reschedule was also a no show. I’m very disappointed. I’ve had a difficult time with my mental health and this was a huge step for me to find a therapist and book an appointment. For this person to not show twice was really disheartening and frustrating. I’m sure they are wonderful but this was not a good experience for me personally.
