About Dr. Naeemah Ruffin
Dr. Naeemah Ruffin is a board-certified podiatrist based in New York, NY. She practices at Toetal Podiatry and offers both in-office and virtual consultations. Dr. Ruffin earned her doctorate in podiatric medicine from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine and a master's degree in public health from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She completed a residency in podiatric medicine and surgery and served as the chief resident at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
Dr. Ruffin received the Sidney Solid Award for service to the podiatric community in areas of community service, research, service to the college, and excellent clinical skills. She previously served as an assistant clinical professor at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. She is certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine, a fellow of the American College of Podiatric Medicine, and a member of the International Association of Dance Medicine & Science, the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine, the American Podiatric Medical Association, and the New York State Podiatric Medical Association.
A lifelong ballet enthusiast, Dr. Ruffin provides biomechanical evaluations, pre-pointe assessments, and educational workshops on preventing injuries and maintaining foot and ankle health. She is a lecturer and allied health partner at The Library Aesthetic, an Australian organization. Her research papers have appeared in the Journal of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the British Medical Journal.
