She then relocated to New York City, where she completed a Master of Public Health degree at Columbia University in 1993. Dr. Khan later completed her Internal Medicine residency at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, New Jersey, in 2000. She joined Kelsey-Seybold Clinic as a highly experienced board-certified internist in February 2026 and is bilingual in English and Bangla.
