About Nakisha Watson

Nakisha Watson, ARNP has worked at Medical Associates of Central Florida since 2017. She began her career as a nurse in 2007 after graduating with an Associate degree in Nursing from Darton College in Albany, GA. She then worked for Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital as a Med/Surg nurse. She stayed with the hospital for 7 years and worked in that time in many different roles. She has experience in med/surg, post anesthesia surgery, and home health nursing. She is a firm believer in education and has also earned a bachelor's degree in Biology from Albany State University. While working as a nurse, Nakisha decided to further her education and earn a bachelor's degree in Nursing from Liberty University and later a Master's in Nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2017. She interned at MACF and stayed on as a Nurse practitioner after graduation. Nakisha is passionate about providing excellent primary care with a hometown feel. She is very focused on providing patient centered care based on evidenced based best practices. She listens to her patients and provides them with opportunities to take an active role in their healthcare. Originally from Georgia, she has lived in Lakeland since 2014 with her husband and three boys ages 12, 11, and 2. Nakisha is currently accepting new patients ages 14 and up. She provides care through the lifespan and treats a variety of diseases including diabetes, hypertension, COPD, and asthma. She also provides some women's health services including pelvic and breast exams. She looks forward to serving you and this community.
