About Naomi Takazawa Welch
Aetna basically covers symptoms including: chronic neck pain (minimum 12 weeks duration); chronic headache (minimum 12 weeks duration); low back pain; nausea of pregnancy; pain from osteoarthritis of the knee or hip (adjunctive therapy); post-operative and chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting; post-operative dental pain; and temporomandibular disorders (TMD).

Naomi is a board-certified acupuncturist and a diplomate in New York. She earned her Master's in Acupuncture from Tri-State College of Acupuncture and completed her training at the Japan School of Acupuncture, Moxibustion & Physiotherapy (Acupuncture and Moxibustion). Naomi practiced acupuncture in Japan for 15 years with her Japanese national licenses as an acupuncturist and moxibustionist before moving to New York. With more than 20 years of clinical experience, Naomi treats a broad range of symptoms such as pain, indigestion, infertility, stress, and imbalances of the immune, hormonal, and autonomic nervous systems, and more.
Naomi integrates traditional and modern approaches, including electric stimulation through needles. I've had an exceptional experience with Naomi Takazawa Welch, LAc. She was very thorough assessing my underlying issues, developed a plan to resolve them, and even made suggestions on actions I can take to help my body realign. After initial treatment, I immediately felt an enormous sense of relief I never anticipated.

Her hospitality is always outstanding.
Not only does she address the part of the body where the symptoms are occurring, but she also has a policy of improving the body's holistic approach. She gives me advice on how to improve my condition after listening to my lifestyle and other habits that may seem unrelated to my symptoms. Each time I visit, she gives me a detailed and careful hearing, so I have become more aware of my condition.
Our communication with her began via email, but she was full of compassion, and when I met her in person, she was even more welcoming than I could have imagined.
I have finally found a place where I can feel confident that if I have any health problems in the future, I can go back to Ms. Takazawa, and she will surely help me alleviate them.
Although it was not the primary purpose, acupuncture had the effect of improving my mental health, as it is said to be effective for anxiety. I feel more energized.

This is my second visit. I had been suffering from pain above my eyebrow that had plagued me every weekday for nearly a year, but the frequency of the pain was cut in half after the first treatment last week, even though my work had become busier.
Dr. Takazawa explained each step, so I knew what to expect next and felt comfortable. She takes an integrative approach to physical ailments rather than a regional one and is knowledgeable. I used to take headache medicine for the pain above my eyebrows, thinking it was a headache, but Dr. Takazawa pointed out that my back caused it and was also related to my legs, so she provided the treatment on my back and legs.
I was also advised to shift my center of gravity to the left since my body is centered on the right.
After the treatment, my body felt warm, my cheeks were lifted, my movements were more accessible, and I could get a good night's sleep. Perhaps I had not slept well before the treatment.
I will look forward to the next visit.

Before the appointment, she politely contacted me to ensure my insurance covered it. I felt Ms. Takazawa's warmth and sincerity during our communication, which eased my pain. On the day of the treatment, she explained each step of the procedure in detail and put me at ease while the procedure was performed. I had a headache, but she worked on my back pain and even my legs with acupuncture needles. After the treatment, my shoulders and eyes opened more easily, and my legs felt lighter. I also made an appointment for next week. I was looking forward to returning soon.

I've had acupuncture treatments many times in the past by multiple providers, but Dr.Takazawa is second to none.
Firstly, she doesn't just focus on the targeted area. She takes a holistic approach and finds the right balance for the entire body.
Secondly, her understanding of human anatomy is so deep, that she has developed a very unique approach to acupuncture. Most acupuncturists would put you lying face down and/or up to put needles in. But Dr.Takazawa puts you in multiple positions that are most effective to bring out the intended result. I've never experienced that before, and it has been extremely effective to treat my post-accident injury.
Finally, her open-mindedness and genuine care to heal patients always make me feel confident in her treatment.
If you've never had acupuncture before, or haven't had a good experience, try Dr.Takazawa. You won't want to go elsewhere.

My small back pain for moths disappeared by just one treatment.
She also gives a lot of advice to keep the body back to normal.
