About Natalie Tukpah
I am an established Family Nurse Practitioner with 30 years of experience ensuring you receive quality health care. My journey to bridge medicine with holistic health approaches began in 2015. In my general medical practice managing diseases and caring for patients in their home environments, I have discovered that healing is more than treating a disease. It's about treating the WHOLE person-integrating the mind, spirit, environment, as well as the physical. I earned my Master's in Family Nursing from Catholic University of America and my Bachelor's from Hampton University, which laid a strong foundation for my comprehensive approach to care.
My practice values the relationship between patient and provider. I believe in helping you foster a deeper understanding of yourself. My goal is to get a sense of who you are as a person to understand your lifestyle behaviors, relationships, important life events, in addition to your medical condition. Dr. Tukpah was absolutely amazing. Her bedside manner is extraordinary! She listened to my concerns and i felt like she truly cares for my health just as much as I do. She was extremely patient and at no point during my appointment was it rushed at all. I honestly could go on and on explaining the wonderful visit I had. Although there are things I need to work on to maintain my health, I left the office with a sense of calmness and reassurance that while it will take work to get to my goal health, it's not impossible and i now have a superb doctor to help me work towards great health. Dr. Tukpah made sure i left with a plan and suggestions on what i could do to help with my overall health and my anxiety. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Tukpah to all my family and friends.

I don't go to the doctor often partly because of my anxiety. I also take a lot of herbal supplements that doctors seem to have no knowledge of, so my questions are often dismissed. Dr. Tukpah actually listened to what I had to say and was able to instruct me on how to take my supplements more effectively. She also took me through a breathing exercise to help me feel more comfortable. I just left her office and have already reccomended her twice! I will definitely return.

My care from Natalie was very good. She help with getting my medications switched to help get my diabetes under control. Natalie educated me and gave me essential information to start a new wellness goals and plans for myself. What I like the most about her she always available and flexible when I needed to talk about my wellness journey or issues regards to my health.

I think my visits and communication was very good. My home care taker was very supportive in helping get my meds adjusted for my diabetes. She also educated me and followed up on my progress.

Natalie was very thorough and patient as she walked me through using the diabetes testing monitor. She showed sincere concern and compassion about some of the symptoms I have been having. So we will be monitoring my blood pressure and my blood sugar. I feel our conversation made a difference on my day to day self care especially during our COVID 19 'stay at home' quarantine.
