About Dr. Neil Malhotra

Dr. Neil Malhotra specializes in Anesthesiology and Pain Management. He grew up in the Western Suburbs of Chicago, and completed his undergraduate and medical school training at Saint Louis University in St. Louis, MO. He then returned to Chicago, completing his anesthesiology residency at Rush University Medical Center and his pain management fellowship at University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Malhotra has extensive training in a multimodal approach to chronic pain management that consists of interventional procedural techniques, medication management, physical therapy, and psychological/cognitive behavioral therapies for chronic pain. He takes special interest in treating joint pain, as well as utilizing neuromodulation techniques in the form of spinal cord stimulation for patients with spine pain refractory to various forms of treatment. Dr. Malhotra firmly believes that he must treat multiple aspects of his patient’s pain, as chronic pain can rarely be attributed to just one simple cause. He performs a thorough, comprehensive evaluation of all his patients to devise a uniquely-tailored treatment algorithm aimed at allowing patients to regain their functionality, reduce pain, and restore activity levels and enjoyment in life. *** Please note that the schedule online does not reflect real time availability. Had an ablation done here and it helped my pain tremendously. Dr. Malhotra was very confident and smooth with the procedure, which was painless. He has helped bring my pain down to a 1/10!

I had a knee injection with Dr. Malhotra. He really seems like he knows what he is doing. The injection was really quick and did wonders for me.

Dr. Malhotra was extremely professional. I have seen him a few times and he has been able to fully resolve my back pain. I am now off of all of the pain medication I have been taking for years. I never thought a life without pain would be possible for me. Dr. Malhotra changed my life!

So happy to have met Dr. Malhotra. He has found other ways to help me control my pain. Very skilled with procedures. He has helped me wean my pain medications to half what I was taking. Hope to get off these meds soon! Great doctor!
