About Dr. Neil Strauss
Dr. Neil H. Strauss is President & CEO of AFAWS and was raised in Beaver County, a suburb of Pittsburgh, PA where he attended the Kiski School for Boys (’93), Saltsburg, PA which is the oldest all-male boarding school in America. He then earned his Bachelor’s in Science in Biology (’97) from Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA
In 1999, Dr. Strauss enrolled at Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine, Philadelphia, PA, and then transferred to Barry University School of Graduate Sciences, Miami, FL with the intent to practice in Florida.
In 2003, Dr. Strauss earned his Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine (DPM) from Barry University where he then completed two years of surgical residency training at West Chester General Hospital in Miami, FL.
Upon successful completion of his residency in 2005, Dr. Strauss joined Dr. Brietstein as his associate and a year later became his partner to form Brietstein & Strauss, DPM, PA. Dr. Strauss is now the CEO and President of the practice and prides himself on his work ethic, approachability and bedside manner. Dr. Strauss lives in Parkland, FL with his wife, Jennifer, and their children Isabella and Ryder along with with their dogs Nellie and Rosie. His hobbies include:Flying full-scale fixed-wing aircraft, Radio-controlled aircraft, collecting and shooting firearms, collecting and restoring vintage/modern sports cars and motorcycles, SCUBA, Fly and Saltwater Fishing, and boating.

Dr. Strauss was amazing. He took his time with my ingrown toenail since I was super uneasy during the process. That being said he was quick and professional. I really appreciated not being rushed in and out the door. Will definitely be back to see him again. The wait was a little long but all the staff were super kind and apologetic.

Dr. Neil Strauss was highly recommended to me by two physicians and by the Hospital ER physician I went to for a broken foot.
Dr. Strauss is amazing!! He is beyond knowledgeable and a great listener and addressed all of my concerns. He was very articulate when explaining my injury and the treatment plan. He didn’t want to immediately do surgery and I appreciate that! His bedside manner was impeccable and he was very patient as I asked a million questions. His level of expertise far exceeded my expectations. The entire staff were very friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend Dr. Neil Strauss.

One of the best Dr office visits I’ve had in a LONG time. I was well taken care of from beginning to end. I was listened to and thoroughly examined. I’d love to say I hope to never go back (because of my injury). But when I have to, I know I’m in good hands.

Waiting room is very tiny and most patients are using assisted devices, walkers or wheelchairs. I sat in a chair with a wheelchair almost tight against my knee. There was no where for that patient to go.

Great bedside manner, I trusted him right away. He solved my issue without selling any expensive orthotics. Not sure if I caught the office on a bad day, but it seemed like they double booked some patients and the wait was long. Everyone apologized and the doctor took his time to patiently answer all my questions even though he had someone waiting in the next room.

Dr. Strauss was excellent. He and his team were efficient, effective, friendly and professional. Everyone and everything was exactly what a doctor's office and appointment SHOULD BE. Dr. Strauss took the time to speak with me after he performed the work on my foot. We talked about places we have in common and our interests. He introduced me to his mom who worked at the front desk. His nurse and I spoke about our kids... all of this after my appointment was finished. It has been two days since my appointment and I can honestly say that my foot is so much better today than the intense pain I was experiencing before seeing Sr. Strauss and his team. I have rarely had such a quick recovery from such a painful injury. Dr. Strauss knew exactly what he was doing. It took him a few minutes and then it was over. He explained what he did and the possible next steps if he injury did not improve. He was very clear in speaking with me and he was open about the limits of what his office may be able to provide me. It was probably the best medical doctor office experience I have had in 20 years. I will definitely be back if I have any other issues with my feet in the future.
