He is truly a gem and it's my first time going to therapy but with his help I truly believe I can overcome the things I'm struggling with :) He is the definition of a therapist everyone should have and I am so so grateful that I found him because for the first time I have a new sense of hope and I leave each session with amazing advice and I'm not even kidding all my problems are solved. I am a warm, engaging Clinical Psychologist specializing in anxiety disorders and relationship issues, with over 25 years of experience guiding my practice. I earned my PsyD in Clinical Psychology from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, and hold a Bachelor's degree from the State University of New York, Albany. Additionally, I completed a fellowship in psychology at Cornell University. Beyond my clinical work, I am active on the faculty at Weill-Cornell Medical College/New York Presbyterian Hospital. My approach is cognitively based, making therapy sessions conversational and focused primarily on the here and now. Together, we work toward reaching therapeutic goals and collaborate on effective methods to attain them.

Several months ago I found myself at a low point. I was seeking help and met with several therapists to decide who was best for me. I was immediately drawn to Dr. Cohen's approach of getting better by "doing." Dr. Cohen is well versed on a range of topics. Our therapy sessions have been an excellent environment for exploring ideas and arriving at specific strategies. I have seen tangible results and always look forward to my appointments.
