“Dr. Williams was incredibly thorough and understanding throughout my initial evaluation appointment which is much more than I can say for other providers I have seen since my original adult ADD/Anxiety diagnosis. He actually took my opinions on which medications have worked the best in the past and did not treat me as a drug seeker which is also a major difference in treatment from past providers. My card got declined because of a fraudulent purchase earlier in the day, and he was understanding and took my word that I would get with him as soon as I resolved the issue for payment, which I will be doing today as soon as he is in the office. He informed me that he is usually available in office from 8 am through 7 pm (I'm assuming his evening hours may fluctuate depending on appointment volume) but this is a huge deal that he is readily available for any and all concerns. ”

If you need a psychiatrist in the Washington, D.C. area, look no further. You have come to the right place! I am Neill C. Williams, M.D., an established psychiatrist with 20 years of experience. I earned my Doctor of Medicine from Virginia Commonwealth University and completed my residency in Psychiatry at George Washington University. I provide a wide variety of psychiatric services to treat conditions including: • Depression • Bipolar Disorder • Anxiety Disorders, including Generalized Anxiety, Social Anxiety, Panic Disorder, and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder • Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorders (ADD/ADHD) • Substance Use Disorders • Sexuality Issues At the initial consultation, I conduct a thorough psychiatric evaluation to ascertain the proper diagnosis and then discuss various treatment options. Together, we decide if medications and/or psychotherapy are needed. Often, I see patients who are already under the care of a psychotherapist and who only need medication management. He was very kind and sweet. I would be aware of his prices and see if you can afford it with your insurance before you go but Dr. Williams responded right away to my questions and was super accessible.
Very thoughtful and professional.
So I found Dr. Williams online. I did not know what to expect. I was very pleased with the first appointment. Dr. Williams is extremely knowledgeable, even telling me about newer drugs that my previous doctor never told me about. He offered many suggestions and ideas for a specific issue that I presented to him and helped me to understand the details of each potential resolution. He is patient, thorough, will listen to and most importantly address your concerns. Highly recommend. He is very responsive to patient concerns.
Dr. Williams was professional, curteous & knowledgeable about mood/anxiety disorders. I felt listened to and heard. When I see Dr. Williams I feel like we are both working toward a common goal of helping me be successful in my mental health needs.
