About Dr. Nhora Abril

Nhora C. Abril, O.D. is a Board licensed, bilingual (Spanish/English) speaking Optometrist with 15 years of experience in Georgia. She received her Doctor of Optometry from Pennsylvania College of Optometry and completed her pre-Optometry studies at the Universidad de la Salle in Bogota, Colombia and Elizabethtown College in PA. In 2015, Dr. Abril was named to Mundo Hispanico’s list of Top Latino Physicians in Atlanta. Dr. Abril has a deep knowledge of the latest technology in vision correction, contact lens fitting, diagnosis and treatment of eye disease, and refractive and general eye surgery co-management. Before joining Thomas Eye Group, Dr. Abril ran her own company contracting with National Vision, Inc. in the Wal-mart Vision Center in Hiram, GA for many years. Dr. Abril has two athletic sons and enjoys watching them play baseball and basketball. She is also an avid tennis player and likes to travel and work out. As part of her church involvement at St Joseph Catholic in Marietta, she traveled to Honduras on a medical mission.
