I am a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner specializing in medication management. I am based in southwest New Mexico and working with clients statewide via telehealth. I work with individuals across the lifespan in treating and managing acute and chronic psychiatric diagnoses. My approach to medication management varies based on the need of each individual that I work with. I commonly use Motivational Interviewing, as an additional modality to psychotropic medications to assist in eliciting positive changes. This promotes awareness and helps build a shared understanding of an individual's goals. I found that my style and approach is a good fit for teenagers, adolescents, and adults who may be dealing with a variety of challenges such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, and mood disorders. My communication style is open, calm, and personable. I want to build a rapport with my clients that encourages comfortability in discussing anything they want to talk about. I pride myself on utilizing a judgement free practice to encourage openness with my clients.
