Dr. A was wonderful! He is the third endocrinologist that I have seen in the Crystal Run group and he is the first one to really take the time to listen to my concerns and truly address my hypothyroidism issues throughly. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and professional endocrinologist.

he was a really nice doctor. usually I don't have great experiences with endocrinologist and I'm usually dismissed but not this time. he truly listened and he asked so many questions about my history and really try to pinpoint what could be going on with my levels. I truly appreciate being respected as a patient and he went through so many different options and possibilities with me for what could be going on. I love that and I've never received that before especially as a black patient you sometimes are very much dismissed or ignored. I think he saw me as another human and he wanted to truly help. The most pleasant experience from booking the appointment to getting medication. I drove almost an hour to see this doctor and have no regrets! He spent almost an hour with me, listening to my concerns and coming up with a solution. I have never met with a doctor who showed this much compassion. Within minutes of meeting the nurse Liz I knew this was a good choice and once I met with the doctor all my anxiety about my concerns was gone!

Dr. Avitabile was patient, heard my concerned and asked a few questions about my family history with same or similar diseases. He also wanted to know when the symptoms started and did any change in lifestyle affect the symptoms. He was thorough in his examination, had plenty to discuss and ask. After the examination he ordered two tests: one was ultrasound of my thyroid, the other was a complete blood work plus additional thyroid levels. Professional, cheery, and funny as well. He even managed for a few seconds to discuss history of foreign countries. Overall, a well mannered specialist,
His nurse was really cheery, positive, and even managed to schedule an appointment for the ultrasound the same day, 40 minutes later! Amazing! I highly recommend them if you want fast resolvement of your issues.

Extremely frustrated. I cannot reach office under any circumstance. It’s a main line call center no communication whatsoever with dr office. I’m attempting to get blood work results and meds refilled and nothing. I need a token for a portal that I was never told about!! What is so hard about having a doctor’s phone number

Dr Avitabile is awesome!!! After all the other doctors told me there was nothing they could do to help me with my weight I had given up. Then I saw Dr Avitabile and he was like a god send! He listened to me, ran tests to figure it out and then prescribed a medication that has changed my life! I am down 40 pounds and I am healthier then ever. Truly a great doctor!!!

Dr Avitable is a very nice dr he talks and listens to you. But. I went for a thyroid appointment. Dr looked at my labs and said see you in a year. He didn’t examine me at all. I found it odd as my appointment last year was a televisit. If you are looking for an examination I’m sure he will comply as he is a genuinely kind and compassionate dr. Maybe it was because it was early in the day and I was going to not say anything but I’ve received this email asking for a review daily since the visit. Thank you.
