Doctor seemed very knowledgeable. There was a little bit of a wait where I saw the doctor's assistant first and then didn't see the doctor until 30 mins past my appointment time so keep that in mind.
Also, even though I had filled out the medical history forms on their online portal, I was asked to refill it out in person when I arrived so be ready to do that.

Nicolas G Biro, M.D. is a board-certified Ophthalmologist who completed two additional years of specialty training in Ocular Plastic Surgery and Neuro-Ophthalmology at the prestigious Wills Eye Hospital.
Dr. Biro graduated from the University of South Florida, College of Medicine in 2005. He completed his internship at New York University Medical Center, followed by an ophthalmology residency at the University of South Florida, where he was selected as Chief Resident. Subsequently, he completed a two year fellowship in Neuro-Ophthalmology and Ocular Plastic and Orbital Surgery at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, the nation’s first eye hospital and one of the premier eye centers in the world.

Everyone was nice and friendly, the office is beautiful and the location is really close to the Washington Square. The doctor offered 2 ways of treatment for my daughter with respect to my needs and expectations.There is also a nearby pharmacy where I picked up the prescription drug because wasn't sure I would be able to manage it in my local pharmacy. The most important for me however is the result but it will take some time to check.

Dr. Biro was every bit as patient and nice as the other reviews. He took my concerns seriously, which was a relief because my PCP had asked me to see a specialist regarding my issue. Dr. Biro is a contender for a corrective treatment related to my issue, and while he asked if I had had other consultations, he didn't push me to choose his practice, which I greatly appreciated. His quiet but respectful bedside manner, and his gentle approach make me seriously consider getting a follow-up treatment with him.
In direct contrast with Dr. Biro, his staff was a mess. There was a huge delay when I showed up for my appointment (about 5 minutes ahead of my scheduled time). There were already two people ahead of me, so he saw me quite later than I anticipated. The staff was disorganized, not very welcoming, and honestly a huge turn-off. There was a male staffer there who proceeded to have several long and loud conversations with another patient (seemed personal), and then at actually lowered his mask at a few points in an enclosed space. He also didn't sanitize anything before my intake exam, and only did so once I prompted him. If Dr. Biro hadn't had a great bedside manner, I would never return to this office due to his staff's behavior and lack of consideration for their patients.

Dr. Biro is excellent! This doctor actually cares about his patients and is very educated. My 15 month old baby was very comfortable and did not cry. Dr. Biro, takes his time to sit with you and help you understand what’s going on.
He took time out of his busy schedule and reached out to me with more information after our visit. I was amazed because most doctors do not do that. He genuinely cares. Thank you Dr. Biro!

Everything was good. Till I went to put the order for my glasses and the prescription was missing some important information. No place to reach this guy. No direct number. The ladies that pick up the phone sound careless and nothing putting much effort to help. A true shame !

I was pleasantly surprised! Went in there not expecting anything really. Just needed to get an eye check up done as per my primary care but it was a pleasant time. His staff was very pleasant too.

He was very nice. He answered all my questions informatively and clearly. He even explained the physics of the eye how it related to my problem. He was able to diagnose the problem quite quickly and very frank about the type of medications I could take. I ended up deciding to get the one over-the-counter and he wrote down the exact one I should get.

We had to assist reception area locate the doctors referral for about 45 mins prior to our visit . Regardless of receiving confirmation days before that they received ALL of the paper work. So that was a little frustrating. Although I have to say the receptions do try to be accommodating. Other than that the office is very clean, well put together and comfortable. The doctor is very attentive,, kind, communicates very well with my elderly mother, and took that extra step to make sure she had the proper care. Needless to say this is our second visit in 2 years and we travel just about two hours just to come see him at least once a year. Thankfully we were made aware that he conveniently had other closer locations. He’s highly recommended and very professional.
