“The staff was nice, I did have to fill some forms out on my phone when I first got to the office before my appointment. My phone disconnected from the system and restarted the process. That was annoying.
My physicians assistant (Nick) was direct and to the point. He asked if two med students/training could be in the room with us..I think they were students…they could have just been some weirdo’s with him, nevertheless I gave him my approval. He did asked them to leave when he looked under the hood. I feel like he listened to me and got it done. There was one issue that my old doctor missed diagnosed and Nick took care of it with a swipe of his pen or push of his keyboard(order medication). I’m a little older and a PA wasn’t my thing. I’m paying for a MD and I want to see an MD. Furthermore wouldn’t gone to him if I would have known. However Nick did a good job, got me the tests I needed and I feel is directing me in the right direction. Look at that! 1000 words……….now!”

About Nicolas DeJong
Nick grew up on a dairy farm in the rural town of Grandview, Washington. He attended Whitworth University in Spokane, where he earned bachelor’s degrees in both Athletic Training and Kinesiology. Nick worked in Division I collegiate athletics at Seattle University as an athletic trainer for one year before deciding to pursue further medical training as a Physician Assistant. Before starting PA school, he spent an additional year in physical therapy, focusing on the rehabilitation and treatment of orthopedic injuries.
In 2013, Nick moved to Loma Linda, California, to attend the Physician Assistant program at Loma Linda University. After completing the program in 2015, he married a Southern Californian and returned to Grandview, where he practiced primary care medicine for two years, serving the underserved population.
In August of 2017, Nick and his wife returned to Southern California, where he is grateful for the opportunity to serve the people of Ventura County.
Outside of work, Nick enjoys spending time with his wife, extended family, and friends. He also enjoys hiking, sports, and traveling.
