Nicole Miller, NP

Family Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
CA
Hi there, I'm Nicole! My name is Nicole Miller, and I am a double-board-certified nurse practitioner. I earned my Master’s in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati. I am certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). My approach I have found that patients are more compliant with their treatment plan when they actively participate in their care. Each patient receives an individualized treatment plan and is involved in care decisions from the first visit. I also utilize a multidisciplinary approach. Collaborating with other clinicians as part of the patient’s care team improves outcomes and helps identify gaps in care during treatment. My patient outcomes are impeccable using this approach, and my patients improve their overall quality of life. My focus I see patients aged 13 and older with acute and chronic mental health disorders. I have experience in ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, Alcohol Use, Autism, Behavioral Issues, Bipolar Disorder, Body Positivity, Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), Dual Diagnosis, Eating Disorders, Family Conflict, Grief, Education and Learning Disabilities, Medication Management, Obesity, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Oppositional Defiance Disorder (ODD), Self-Esteem, Self-Harming, Sleep or Insomnia, Stress, Substance Use, Suicidal Ideation, Trauma and PTSD, Veterans, Mood Disorders, and Personality Disorders. My communication style I believe I have a mixed communication style, but collaborative communication best describes how I interact with my patients. Because of this, my patients feel comfortable expressing their concerns, which improves outcomes.
