What should a new client know about working with you?

I strive to create a warm, welcoming, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel comfortable being yourself and speaking openly about what you’re experiencing. I am a highly trained psychiatrist, but I believe excellent care begins with listening, My approach is thoughtful and collaborative. I take the time to understand not only your symptoms, but also your experiences, relationships, stressors, strengths, and goals. Together, we’ll develop a treatment plan that feels appropriate and manageable for you. When medication may be helpful, I’ll explain the options clearly, including potential benefits and side effects, so you can make informed decisions about your care. I also incorporate therapeutic approaches when appropriate and consider the broader factors that may be affecting your emotional well-being. Patients often appreciate that I am approachable and personable while also being thorough and attentive. My goal is for you to feel heard, respected, and supported—and to leave our visits with a clear understanding of our plan and the reasoning behind it.compassion, and truly understanding each person as an individual.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first visit is really about getting to know you—what you’ve been experiencing, what’s important to you, and what you hope to get out of treatment. I’ll ask questions to better understand the full picture and then share my thoughts and recommendations with you. Together, we’ll create a treatment plan that may include medication, talk therapy, or both. Follow-up visits are also collaborative, with time to check in, address concerns, and adjust treatment as needed. I have flexible scheduling and visit durations to accommodate your specific needs. My goal is for you to feel comfortable, heard, and actively involved in your care.
