What should a new client know about working with you?

Generally, an initial visit entails understanding why you are seeking care- what it is you want to accomplish, how you think I can help you get there, what you do not want and prior relevant experiences with the healthcare system. As such, an initial visit is longer, more involved, and more costly than follow up visits

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Step 1: Complete Intake Process Two Business Days Prior to Initial Consultation Session Prior to your initial consultation session, TCNY’s intake team needs to (1) verify your insurance, and (2) determine your eligibility for outpatient treatment. After you book an appointment, you will receive an e-mail from Zocdoc that provides full instructions on next steps for the intake process. Step 2: Complete Client Registration One Business Day Prior to Initial Consultation Session After TCNY has (1) formally verified your insurance coverage with the insurer, and (2) confirmed that you’re eligible for outpatient care, TCNY’s intake team will send you a message via Zendesk with your insurance coverage details, care provider's phone number and telehealth link, and TCNY Zocdoc virtual registration link. We appreciate your time & consideration through this process!

Ongoing session: $125 for 15 minutes
  • Sliding scale: Offers lower out-of-pocket fees on an individual basis, typically based on your ability to pay
  • Charges post-reimbursement amount: This provider will only charge you for the amount you pay after you get reimbursed from your insurance plan, so you don’t need to pay the session fee upfront

Note on Secondary Insurance Coverage: Please note that Therapy Center of New York (TCNY) does not submit claims to secondary insurance. After a primary insurance claim is submitted by TCNY and processed by the insurer (which can take 60-90 days), each client can independently submit the processed claim to secondary insurance.
