I am Noel Okon, MSN, PMHNP-BC. I began my journey as a psychiatric nurse in 1997, spent over two decades as a bedside nurse across diverse settings, and returned to school to earn my BSN in 2020 and my MSN in 2024, completing my PMHNP-BC certification that May. In February 2025, I transitioned to a psychiatric provider. I specialize in psychiatric evaluations, medication management, crisis intervention, and therapeutic support, with a particular focus on depression and anxiety.
MEDICATION PRESCRIBING: Thriveworks providers do not prescribe opioid use disorder medications, weight-loss medications, injectable psychiatric medications, long-term benzodiazepines, or sleep medications, though these may be prescribed short-term for existing clients when clinically appropriate. Controlled substances, including ADHD stimulants, are available only in select states."
