Two things the provider/office should be aware of:
1) They clearly knew they were running well behind. At no point was an apology or acknowledgement given from the staff or doctor. I understand doctors offices can run behind. But I wasn't seen for over an hour after my appt, so some sorty of acknowledgement goes a long way, especially when potentially referring others I know to him.
2) The doctor came out to the front desk/waiting area to take a huge Starbucks order for his staff in front of all the waiting patience. This was at the point where it was already 30min past my appt time and I hadn't seen or spoken to anyone yet. It's a nice gusture towards his staff, but maybe do that in private? Espeically when you know you're running considerably behind and there are waiting patience overhearing this?

I got reminders for my appointment from this app. When I got to oakbrook, the location that I had it scheduled with was not even opened. So I called the scheduling, and they said I canceled it, and they also said the appointment was in St. Charles. Wow, I double-checked the location from my reminder from the app, and it also said the appointment was at Oakbrook. I dislike their system.

The office staff was unfriendly though clearly stressed. The x-ray tech was extremely unresponsive/a little rough and provider was dismissive and unclear.

Office staff was friendly, very minimal wait. Imaging was done right away. Dr. Horner was friendly, a great listener and validated my concerns. I was able to walk away with a diagnosis and set care plan.

Very long wait time. Did not see the doc i booked but another. She was great. Once i saw her, i was out in 15 minutes. The other almost two hours was spent by the docs playing catchup with a bombardment of patients. Seemed overbooked. People were nice and patient and seemed to care actually, just overwhelmed at the moment.

The doctor was able to assess what the issue I was having was being caused by. I have seen other providers prior to him who always recommended a treatment plan but never told me the root cause. Dr. Horner walked me through the issue, explained how the findings impacted me, and provided me with the best course of action to alleviate it. If I had seen him a few years ago, I could have saved myself years of discomfort. Great experience overall, and I left feeling confident that I am on my way to getting the relief I need.

Dr. Nolan Horner Is a good doctor and very skilled in his expertise. Dr. Horner listens to his patient concerns and communicates well with his patients and shows concern about the health of his patient and what he feels is the next best course of action. I highly recommend Genesis Orthopedics to anyone who’s having issues with joint pain, sport or work related injuries. The staff is so nice and courteous to the patients and they always greet everyone with a smile. The office is always clean and smells good.
