About Nora Macleod

My path to healing grew from a lifelong curiosity about how things fit together. After studying textiles at RISD, I shifted to acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine, discovering the same appreciation for pattern, connection, and detail within the body. Today, as a California board-certified acupuncturist and herbalist at Artemisia, I bring that observational lens to every session—listening, noticing, and tailoring treatment plans so patients feel seen, safe, and steadily better. ? I graduated summa cum laude from Emperor’s College (Santa Monica) and deepened my herbal training at Arbor Vitae (Brooklyn, NY). I also completed an oncology support externship at the Disney Family Cancer Center (Burbank), experience that informs my calm, trauma-aware, and evidence-informed approach. ? Clinical focus: women’s health and hormonal balance (PMS, cycles, perimenopause), anxiety/stress and insomnia, and acute & chronic pain (neck, back, headaches/migraines). I also offer psychedelic integration support within a safe, non-prescribing framework.
