About Dr. Nova Shu
Nova Shu, MD, a board-certified dermatologist, recently joined North Hills Center for Dermatology. Dr. Shu is experienced in diagnosing and treating a full-range of dermatological conditions, including skin cancer. She also is highly-trained to provide an array of cosmetic procedures.
Dr. Shu earned her medical degree from the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. She also earned a bachelor’s degree in business economics at Brown University. Dr. Shu completed a dermatology residency at the University of Texas – Austin Dell Medical School, where she served as both Resident Chief of Medical Education and Resident Chief of Cosmetics in the Division of Dermatology. Prior to that, she completed a preliminary residency at the University of California-Irvine.
Dr. Shu is a member of numerous professional medical associations, including the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery Society, and the Society of Pediatric Dermatology. She has presented at multiple medical association meetings and her work has been published in several peer-reviewed journals.

Was looking for a dermatologist for routine annual visits/care in the North Hills area. Dr. Shu is delightful! She’s friendly and present and made the appointment feel more like you had a nice chat rather than being poked and prodded in all your insecure areas.

My visit today with Dr Shu and her staff was a breath of fresh air as opposed to most physician appts I go to. Her front desk and nursing staff were very kind and courteous. Dr Shu really took the time to listed to all my concerns and explain everything in detail to may satisfaction. I will definitely be going back. I had to drive an hour to get to her but will do so again without question.
