About Dr. Oladapo M Babatunde
Dr. Babatunde is Medical Director at City Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine. He has been chosen as a Top Doctor by both patients and surgeons in the New York and New Jersey areas. In addition to serving as medical director of City Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, he is an assistant professor at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. He was previously Chief of Sports Medicine and Surgery at BronxCare Hospital in New York. Dr. Babatunde is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon with expertise in the surgical treatment and rehabilitation of patients with injuries of the shoulder, elbow, hip, knee, and ankle. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from Yale University and his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania. He completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Columbia University and a fellowship in Sports Medicine at Stanford University.

The doctor I saw was very friendly (not who I made an appointment with) I am having a problem with my knee, actually the back of my knee. I was asked to show her my knee. I did, she pressed around the knee, lower calf to see if I had any pain. I was told a few things it could be. The back of my knee was never looked at. I thought I’d put a gown on so that the back of my knee would be visible (luckily I had on pants I could pull up). I was referred to an imaging office for an MRI and x-ray (physical therapy if I wanted) and asked to return in 2 weeks. Overall , everyone was kind, but I’ve decided to go to HSS, where I can get an MRI and x-ray on the same day, prior to seeing the doctor.

Dr. Babatunde knowledge of my problem and his explanation of the options for me were excellent. He made me feel at ease and was one of the nicest doctors I have ever met. All of the staff were professional and very kind. This is an office I will be glad to visit and highly recommend.

Dr. Babatunde was very friendly and helpful. We had a virtual visit and he explained possible causes for the pain I was feeling and offered useful suggestions.
The other staff from the office was also great!
There was a minor technical mixup because of receiving an email from Zocdoc & an email from the doctor's office with different video meeting links, but the staff in the office took care of everything.
If I have any future issue, I would not hesitate to see Dr. Babatunde.

Dr. Babatunde and his phsyician assistant took their time with their video assesment of a recent foot injury. The initial diagnosis was clearly explained, along with recommended treatment and follow-up. I wish I had visited in-person for a better examination. For now, the video option works, but it is also dependant on the type of injury that you may have.
