Dr. Fawehinmi is a licensed psychiatrist at Georgia Behavioral Health Professionals' Marietta office. He earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MB.ChB) from Obafemi Awolowo College of Health Sciences, Olabisi Onabanjo University, Nigeria. He completed his residency in Psychiatry at Berkshire Health Systems in June 2017, where he served as a PGY4 resident and Junior Attending in the acute psychiatric care unit and emergency psychiatry services. During this time, he gained experience across various levels of care, including inpatient and outpatient services, with significant supervised therapy experience in CBT, supportive, and psychodynamic approaches. Dr. Fawehinmi also completed an externship at Utmost Healthcare Center in Alabama in June 2012, where his duties included physician visits and collaboration with Dr. Badewa. He is currently pursuing a Master's in Public Health in Health Care Organization and Policy at the University of Arizona.

Monotone personality (if that's something you care about). Bedside manner... where? Talks in very broad strokes "[Medication A] is good for [symptom] but I wouldn't prescribe that. All the medications are basically the same efficacy but [Medication B] is probably better for you. If that doesn't work [Medication C] should work. A small number of individuals have side effects, but I wouldn't worry about that." He continued to note "negative side effects" as something not to be too concerned about. He mentioned mindfulness and breathing exercises. Ummm sir. Everyone knows what those are. I already do them. "Just try a different one," he responded. Yeah... no. A psychiatrist appointment should be about actual, detailed strategies for treatment/management. Waste of money and time. The only positives were that (A) there was availability right away and (B) front desk staff was very kind.

I went to this doctor for help with anxiety and depression, but was also seeking potential diagnosis and treatment of ADHD (I've been told numerous times by outside perspectives that I needed to seriously consider getting an official diagnosis and seek treatment). I explained these concerns and admitted to taking Adderall (the effects were an extremely calm, focused state of mind, which further strengthened my resolve to get a diagnosis) to which the doctor blew off numerous times. He prescribed me one type of medication (which did not work and made me go slightly off the rails) and then quickly switched me to another with no down time, which also did not work. He also did not put my prescription in one week and I was left without medication. He blamed me and the pharmacy for his screw up, despite me telling him that I contacted his office numerous times AND the pharmacy and got nothing. He blew off all of my concerns on that front and upped the prescribed dosage. I finally got him to agree to ADHD testing after much pleading and near arguing my case. To which, after the test, he blew off the results of "highly likely", didn't want to discuss and just upped the prescribed dosage of my medication (which, as I mentioned, and told him repeatedly) wasn't working. When I tried to argue the case for Adderall, he claimed: "It basically works for everyone. All of this is just your anxiety." And I'm like, if it works for everyone, WHY aren't you prescribing it to me?!!
I fired him. He is the most dismissive, rude, uncaring, and coldhearted psychiatrist. I've had bad experiences before with psychiatrists and he has proven why I don't trust them. It takes a lot for me to want to vulnerable with my issues and problems and meeting with someone like him could seriously derail anyone in their journey. Would not recommend him AT ALL.

It was a very strange encounter. He appeared to be very irritable and confused as to why I booked an appointment with him hence him asking me 3x in the two minute span that we were on the video call. I was obviously depressed and clearly referred by my primary care doctor.

It was a horrible experience with the Lifestance Practice. I was hung up on twice trying to make the appointment, I had to fill the paper work out online twice and when i did get into my appt, he told me that I had not done it. I said yes I did, TWICE. He had a horrible bedside manner.

Dr. Fawehinmi was on time, and his office staff are amazing. However, he is not. He did not listen to my concerns regarding MY mental health, and wanted to take me off of my current medication regimen. I only saw him because I thought my previous provider wasn’t doing Telehealth visits. Be prepared to be mentally strong because he will cause you to panic because he does what he wants to do and does not listen to his patients. In short, I do not recommend this doctor if you’re a patient who prefers to be involved with what you do and do not put into your body to keep you mentally stable.

I cannot in good conscience recommend anyone working with Dr. Fawehinmi. It has been 3 weeks and I have not received my prescription at Walgreens despite him assuring me that I would get it renewed that afternoon. 8 days (a really long time for them to wait) later they tried to call me to find where I would like the prescription to be sent to, which I had provided in written forms to Dr. Fawehinmi during our session. I called another week later and they asked for my pharmacy and said they would give it to Dr. Fawehinmi right away. Three days later I came to check and Walgreens still have nothing for me. 3 weeks not having medications is not the best experience. Additionally, during our first session I didn’t want to talk to Dr. Fawehinmi at all because he seemed so aloof and distracted.

Dr Olajide was very thoughtful in our session. I really felt like he listened to my needs and understood my position. He did a great job explaining the research behind different treatment plans and why some may be more effective than others.

Dr. Fawehinmi himself is passive and I wouldn’t know if he was helpful or not because he rarely looked me in the eye or even introduced himself. I’ve had more in-depth conversations with strangers in line at the grocery store.
This review is centered around his office and their practices. DO NOT LISTEN TO MUCH THEY ARE SAYING TO YOU. Anything extra will be billed directly to you and out of network. They should be ashamed of themselves.
