About Dr. Oliana Ros

Philosophy of care As a family physician, it's important to develop relationships with patients. I see the full spectrum from early childhood to adulthood and end of life, considering the entire scope when caring for each patient. The family impacts each individual, and since I care for the whole family, if the husband smokes, I can't treat the wife without treating the husband! I take a holistic approach to getting everyone healthy. I partner with people and their families to establish healthy goals and lifestyles to prevent problems-and, of course, care for them if something happens, setting realistic expectations about problems and treatments. Why I entered medicine Since I was little, I wanted to go into medicine to help people. Attending the American University of Integrative Sciences School of Medicine, where I earned my Doctor of Medicine degree, I knew I wanted to focus on Family Medicine. My rotations and residency in Family Medicine at Robert Packer Hospital solidified my path. I wanted to be the doctor people saw for holistic management of their well-being and to build relationships with patients of all ages. Community involvement I enjoy mentoring and teaching medical students from local universities, guiding future doctors and nurse practitioners with my personal style of medicine. Personal interests I love music and staying active and healthy. I enjoy traveling and cooking. The Caribbean and Southeast Asia are favorite regions to visit, and vineyard tours of Napa Valley and Bordeaux are on my to-do list! I'm of Ukrainian background and can understand and semi-fluently speak the language, as well as have a basic understanding of Polish. Education I earned my bachelor's degree from Siena College before attending medical school at the American University of Integrative Sciences School of Medicine. I completed my residency in Family Medicine at Robert Packer Hospital.
