Patient reviews for Dr. Olumuyiwa Idowu
She is amazing!
I've had 2 great experiences with Dr Idowu. She listens and gives honest feedback. Also, wait times are almost nonexistent!
Dr Idowu is Very patient, gentle, amiable and quite professional in attending to her patients.
Nice environment , friendly customer service, MD very professional in her dealings and soft spoken
I just love Dr. Idowu! She is very Professional, very sensitive to your concerns and she is a great listener and problem Solver. Clearly is a very qualified Doctor with Excellent Bedside manner. She will Also reprimand you when you know that you are not following your plan but in a good way! I highly recommend Doctor who takes care of myself and my daughter.
I love her. She has been my PCP for 8 years. She has a servants ??. The best.
Didn't care about my problems just wanted to give me opiods.
Very helpful, caring and knowledgeable. Nurses and assistants were friendly and top notch.
Dr. Idowu and her staff were great! I felt comfortable and taken care of my entire visit from interactions with both the Dr. and the staff! Would 100% recommend, especially if you're afraid of needles.
Highly skilled professional
For a first visit, in a new city, we felt very welcomed and heard. Staff was also welcoming and personable. Great experience! We will return.
Nice bedside patient doctor manner, very professional, pleasant to speak to about health concerns, helps patient to feel grateful for medical advice. Overall initial PCP appointment for patient transitioning from state of Georgia to state of Illinois was pleasant visit, friendly staff, & recommend future medical follow up visits.
It was great! I was 40 minutes late because of a traffic accident and they still took me in. The doctor was great. I expressed that I had anxiety and she did everything possible to make me feel comfortable and I genuinely enjoyed my visit. We talked about all of my areas of concern. I would recommend her to everyone.
The nursing and check-in staff were kind, friendly, and accommodating. The doctor was thorough and helpful. Her bedside manner was middle-of-the-road, but she was polite, listened to all I had to say, and was never unkind nor rude. My wait was a bit long for my visit, but they also seemed busy that day. Be sure to budget 2-2.5 hrs total when visiting, just in case. Overall, I recommend this office and doctor for any potential new clients.
She is very good at discussing my health issues, and encouraging me to lead a more healthy lifestyle.
I want to start off by saying I fear doctors so much. Especially blood tests. The nurses and staff were so friendly and warm that I felt comfortable. The doctor asked questions a lot of doctors ignore and also let me take the lead on my treatment plan, giving many options and clarifying when I had questions. This was the best doctor visit I have ever had and I will definitely go back for care there. Also, the blood test was quick and painless and the nurse who did it made sure I was comfortable and occupied. Wonderful all around!
Dr. Idowu is a compassionate and caring doctor who I've seen for years. Her office staff is excellent.
An outstanding doctor with heart of gold.
I'm sure she is very knowledgeable but I came there specifically to get a tetanus shot. I did not appreciate the 1 hour and 45 minute wait. Once I was in the room she had informed me that they couldn't actually administer the shot. I had set the appointment 2 weeks prior specifically telling them I needed a tetanus shot. She then wrote me a prescription and I had to go to Walgreens and wait another 40 minutes before I could actually get the shot. Simply, I spent a total of 3 hours and 30 minutes to get a shot which I feel is way too long of a wait.
Dr. Idowu is a good doctor who really care's about her patients.
I love her as my doctor, she does a great job very gracefully.
I love my doctor. She explains everything very well, and I never leave the office unsure about the status of my health, diagnosis and treatment. As well the support staff there are always friendly, warm and I feel like I have a personal connection with them.
not personable at all, not only did i wait over an hour until i was about to reschedule but for my first time there the doctor was not personable or welcoming at all. Never acknowledged my long wait, and didn't really ask many questions about past or anything, just zoomed through the basics and that was it, I had some questions I was looking forward to bringing up during my appointment but my experience was so bad I wasn't even comfortable enough to remember those questions, I was just happy to be out of there.
She was very polite and her smile makes you feel at home. Her personality has a calming effect on a patient. I would recommend her to my friends and relatives.
She was not considerate of my needs as a patient but focused more on how I didn't need certain preventive measures. Very unprofessional.
Love her and her staff
Dr. O, Is a very kind and patient Doctor. She has excellent bedside manner and is Professional in every sense. Her office team is as professional and friendly as well.
very professional and knowledgable!
It was a good experience visiting Dr. Olumuyiwa Idowu. The Patient Care and Doctor attended to my health concerns and needs promptly ASAP.
I had no idea what to expect since this was my first time using my HMO insurance, but I was very happy. I went in for a physical but also complaining of anxiety. I felt like I was listened to and not rushed at all. She does have medical students do some of the intake but I saw her review it all and she followed up on several things I told the medical student (who was also very nice). The office seems to be well-run: the nurses, front-desk person, etc did not seem miserable and were courteous. She said hello to the patients she recognized from a previous visit and generally I got a good vibe from her. No complaints at all.
I didn't feel that it was sufficient. I was prescribed a medication that was not helpful at all. I haven't returned since.
I went in for consultation on a few things and only received feedback on one. Felt like my listed anxiety disorder made me not be taken seriously. Felt like my symptoms were denied as being really. She also took a phone call in the middle of our session. Very unhelpful.
The doctor was very kind and it was a short visit. Her nurse practitioner was amazing - spent about 45 minutes with me getting history, offering advice. I really felt cared for.
I only saw Dr. Idowu at the end of the appointment when the resident doctor reviewed everything that was discussed. Even in that brief time, Dr. Idowu seemed intelligent, respectful, and professional. I would have loved to actually be seen by her instead of the resident who spent the majority of our visit trying to tell me how harmful the natural herbs were that I was using (before she had to look on WebMD to find out what it was and that the side effects were minimal). Her concern wasn't so much that the herbs had harmful side effects, rather that it was highly untested and unregulated by the medical community. Then without having fully collected by background information and not having done a physical exam yet, she commenced to tell me what she thought I probably had and what I would likely be prescribed. When I challenged her to tell me about all of the potential side effects and dangers of the potential prescription -we weren't even sure I needed yet- she basically said we would cross that bridge when we got to it. Also, she insisted on inaccurately categorizing something in my history that I informed her of (after referring to WebMD again of course) because she was passing judgment on my character. I found this to be judgemental and extremely unprofessional.
Very kind and professional
Everyone in the office was very friendly. They were a bit behind because they had 4 emergency patients so I waited almost an hour to be seen. Once I was seen, everything was fine and I got the prescription I needed.
She was everything that I had hoped. My wait time was due to a lot of new patients.
I got in an out today less than and hour very please with service.
Dr Idowu and staff are good as olways. My family and I love going there. I needed to wait 30 mins after my appointment time but I am okay with that since Dr Idowu takes all the needed time for her patients.
Dr Ido bedside manner was terrible! She did not introduce herself. She was not friendly at all. Her staff was more friendly. She her a question on the portal and she never responded back. I would not recommend her to any of my family or friends!
Personal and understanding bedside manner.
