Getting to know Dr. Oluwaseyi (Seyi) Adeyinka

I’m a board-certified psychiatrist trained at NYU and Yale who works with adults navigating stress, burnout, anxiety, depression, trauma, and major life transitions. I care for professionals across tech, law, medicine, finance, academia, and the creative fields, as well as people of color and LGBTQ+ individuals seeking a grounded, supportive space to reflect and reset. What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach is collaborative, thorough, and paced in a way that feels comfortable and supportive. I blend psychotherapy with careful, evidence-based medication management when needed. I listen closely, pay attention to patterns, and aim to understand what’s underneath the symptoms you’re experiencing. My style is warm, attentive, and open-minded. My priority is that you feel safe, understood, and grounded as we move through your care together.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our work begins with a 75-minute consultation where we talk through what’s been going on, your history, and your goals for treatment. After you book through Zocdoc, I’ll give you a brief call for an initial screening to make sure we’re a good fit and answer any questions. If we decide to move forward, the consultation offers space for us to understand your needs and outline an approach. From there, your treatment plan may include psychotherapy, medication management, lifestyle support, or a combination. Sessions give you room to slow down, reflect, and connect the dots between stressors, symptoms, and deeper patterns. Over time, many people feel more settled, more self-aware, and better able to make meaningful changes in their relationships, work, and daily life.

In-network insurances

Out-of-pocket fees and assistance
Initial session: $500 for 75 minutes
Ongoing session: $425 for 50 minutes
  • Sliding scale: Offers lower out-of-pocket fees on an individual basis, typically based on your ability to pay

More information on payments and coverage

My practice is private pay and out-of-network for all insurance plans. Payment is collected at the time of the visit. If you have out-of-network benefits, I’m happy to provide a superbill that you can submit to your insurance for partial reimbursement. I accept credit and debit cards. A card is required to hold all appointments. If you’re unsure about your out-of-network benefits, you can call your insurance or use a reimbursement app to check your expected coverage. I’m always happy to answer questions so you know what to expect before we get started.
