Oluyemisi Adewunmi, M.D., earned her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, and medical degree from the University of Ibadan College of Medicine, Nigeria, in 1994. She successfully completed her Internal Medicine residency at Yale University in 2001, graduating with honors as the Outstanding Resident Teacher of the Year. She served as Chief Resident of Internal Medicine at Yale in 2002 and later joined the Academic Hospitalist Program as faculty at Johns Hopkins University Hospital from 2002 to 2006.
Dr. Adewunmi is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She is a proud member of the American College of Physicians and the American Medical Association. She has a special interest in women's health issues and the management of diabetes.
Yemisi enjoys event planning, wedding cake designing, reading, traveling, and spending time with her family in her spare time.
