Dr. Omar Ali, MD Dr. Omar Ali is a Psychiatrist in Texas who has been practicing since 2019. Dr. Ali always values each patient’s input in their own treatment as he believes that this always leads to the best outcome. Dr. Ali provides psychopharmacologic medication management and brief individual therapy as able, and can provide recommendations for further testing, therapy, and more advanced treatments (such as TMS and Ketamine) when necessary. Dr. Ali commonly sees individuals struggling with symptoms of ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, OCD, PTSD, PMDD, Bipolar Disorder, Insomnia, and many others. Outside of work, Dr. Ali enjoys exercising, reading, and hanging out with his cat.

?? I know this is a super long review but please read to the end ?? I just recently discovered lifestance after being dropped from my previous provider for not being able to make appointments due to work and not having a vehicle, so the telehealth option is extremely helpful and convenient. Originally the first provider I saw with this company was Theresa Brothers, who was absolutely the worst, most insensitive, judgmental, and completely unprofessional and unnecessarily rude psychiatrist I have ever seen or talked to in my life, and I’ve seen many. The reason I bring her up, is because with such a highly negative experience I was unfortunate enough to have with her, I was very skeptical about trying to see any other providers, worried they would be the same. Despite my fears, I tried again knowing I needed help and not having many options. I talked to very understanding staff who took my concern with doctor Brothers to heart and got me in with someone much MUCH better. I was extremely fortunate to have found doctor Ali, as I have been dealing with severe anxiety for over 8 years which has prohibited me from being able to go out and do normal things like a normal person. I have not been able to go out to eat at a restaurant without having to rush home in the middle or even before the food arrives, go out and do anything sociable for longer than an hour without having to rush home, I’ve been a prisoner of my own making. My anxiety causes me to get extremely sick and when I start throwing up it doesn’t stop. This has made travel almost impossible because airports are the absolute worst and biggest trigger, but I have to travel no less than twice a year and it’s miserable every time. I’ve been through several different psychiatrists in different states, different cities, literally everywhere. I’ve explained my issues to all of them and no one has been able to find anything that actually works until now and I was honestly starting to lose hope. I mean after 8 years of being told by numerous different doctors and psychiatrists they didn’t know what was wrong with me or how to fix me, I was pretty sure I was just gonna be stuck like this for the rest of my life and never be able to live normally. Doctor Omar Ali listened, he understood, and he knew that my issues were mostly anxiety related, I had just never been prescribed the right medication, therefore I was under the impression either it wasn’t anxiety or anxiety meds didn’t work ??. I was wrong. Seriously after going through at least 6 different psychiatrists one of which I saw for over 6 months trying different things still was never able to find anything that worked. Doctor Ali got it on HIS FIRST TRY. Literally our first appointment he nailed it and I have since been able to go out to eat at restaurants and finish my entire meal, I traveled with absolutely no issues! Even ate at a restaurant IN the Airport!! ???? things most people just do and don’t think about but it was a miracle for me and I can’t be thankful enough. This man deserves all the recognition he can get for how incredibly amazing and talented he is because he did IN FACT solve an unsolvable mystery that has saved my life and I am eternally grateful. ??
