About Dr. Orr Barak
Orr G. Barak, MD, PhD, is a board-certified dermatologist who provides the full spectrum of dermatologic care, including medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology services. He has special interests in the treatment of skin cancer, psoriasis, pediatric dermatology, acne, fillers, and laser therapy. Dr. Barak has worked as a staff dermatopathologist at Dermpath New England and served as an Assistant Professor of Dermatology at Tufts University School of Medicine, where he taught dermatology residents and medical students.
Dr. Barak obtained a degree in Molecular Biology from the University of California at Berkeley before earning both his MD and PhD from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. During medical school, he received numerous honors, including selection to the Alpha Omega Honor Medical Society and the Mary Ellis Bell Prize for research. He completed his residency in Dermatology at the Boston University-Tufts University Combined Residency Program, where he was named chief resident. He subsequently completed a fellowship in Dermatopathology at Tufts Medical Center.

Had my first appointment at the location in Birdsboro. The building is pretty cool looking, staff was friendly, and I didn't have to wait more than five minutes. Facilities appear modern and clean. Dr. Barak was efficient, professional, and knowledgeable. He has good communication skills and was easy to understand. Based on my first impression I have no complaints.

I wasn't in the office very long.. Dr. Barak gets straight to the point.. I live 45 minutes away.. I'm happy with my decision by choosing Dr. Barak over doctors in my area.. I will be going back for a follow-up.. and if anything else should appear.. I will continue to see this Dr.

The office was super overbooked and the wait was outrageous. I was called back at 3:20 for my 2:45 appointment. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Medical assistant also very friendly, but new I believe and really not familiar with the job. Dr. Barak was very nice, but did not really give me any new solutions or direction for treating my psoriasis.

I really like Dr. Barak, but the wait time for PDP is ridiculous. I've now been in 3 offices and always wait at least 20 minutes past my scheduled appointment time to be called back, and usually another 10 to be seen. It doesn't seem to matter whether I schedule an early morning, midday or late afternoon time; this always happens. It's really frustrating considering patients would never get away with showing up so late.

I searched online for a Dr with great credentials and a Dermalotogist that was more about skin care, health and possible Cancer as opposed to those who promote themselves as " nip and tuck" docs. He was excellent, thorough, asked all the right questions, made you feel comfortable and said all the right things. The Staff, PA.. Were exceptional too

I arrived a few minutes late and apologized for being late. The receptionist assured me that it was okay and asked me to have a seat. I waited for a short time before being taken to an exam room. After seeing the assistant to the doctor, I then waited a while before seeing the doctor. It was an appointment made with not much notice, so maybe that is why I waited so long. I don't remember waiting for that length of time for my previous visit.
Very knowledgeable staff and they even gave me a coupon for my prescriptions knowing that they could be pretty pricey.
I feel assured that this will be my choice in the future for any skin concerns I may have.
