Pamela first realized she wanted to be a nurse as a small child and hasn’t looked back. Growing up with a beloved grandfather in general medicine, she saw how healthcare can positively change the world one person at a time. He inspired in her respect and compassion for every individual and a commitment to excellence shown in skillful diagnosis and an unparalleled kind and attentive manner.
Since graduating with her BSN in 1993, Pamela has gained much from working in varied nursing settings. Intensive Care honed her assessment skills and time management. International public health deepened her conviction to care for the underserved. Her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Rush University in 1999 prepared her to be an exceptional Family Nurse Practitioner and Advanced Practice Nurse.
After attaining her Post-Master’s Certificate in Nurse-Midwifery from Frontier Nursing University in 2003, Pamela’s midwifery career began at a free-standing birth center in southern Texas. On Chicago’s Westside, she helped found a midwifery practice and grew it until the mountains of Colorado called her away.
Since moving to Denver in 2009, Pamela has continued her rewarding work as a midwife providing full-scope women’s health care. Whether in private practice or busy academic hospitals, her convictions remain the same. Pamela’s vocation is to support women by providing accessible, evidence-based, compassionate healthcare.

I highly recommend this doctor. I’ve moved several times in my life and had several doctors - most recently spent many years in Boston (where some of the best medicine in the world is). While I didn’t see Dr. Cole, I saw Pamela Kaye Brunette. She was extremely professional, clear in her communication and the appointment expectations, listened to me carefully and asked direct questions regarding my health. She was very knowledgeable, caring, gentle, and delightful. I also had some lab work done. The staff was quick, thorough, friendly, and professional. Great experience and I will be returning!
