The PA I saw was not familiar enough with my specific medical situation to give an informed opinion (her familiarity was restricted to “research” she did DURING the visit). She was not receptive to my medical history and my personal sense of health (especially given that an ENT consult was recommended by a functional medicine MD and actual test results). She could not even answer my questions without fumbling her words and contradicting herself.
My overall impression was that she was arrogant and incapable of admitting something that she did not have knowledge about, which was edging toward dangerous, rude, and disturbing.
Even medical professionals should be ok with saying I don’t know, but be curious enough to find out.

Dr. Paul Schalch Lepe's office and staff were very nice and communicative. I was seen right away. However, on ZocDoc, I booked an appointment with Dr. Schalch Lepe and not a PA on his staff. When I book an appointment with a certain provider, I expect to see that provider. If PA's are the only providers that are available for first time consultations at Dr. Schalch Lepe's office than these providers should be on the website and not Dr. Schalch Lepe. I also provided this feedback on the phone to the doctor's receptionist.

I was seen by the doctor's PA instead of the doctor, but very happy to get an appointment the same day. My urgent care doctor recommended the ENT. They did a CT scan to remove any questions about what was going on in my sinuses and ears. Provided a course of treatment. The biggest disappointment was waiting 5 days to receive a prescription sinus rinse via FedEx, instead of using a local pharmacy. I didn't anticipate the delay, so didn't ask for an alternative pharmacy. It is too soon to tell if the course of treatment will work ultimately, but so far so good. The exam felt comprehensive.

One of the best experiences I have had in a doctor’s office! I was able to book an appointment 3 hours before for the same day. The front desk staff is so friendly and I was seen by the doctor right away. I appreciated that Dr. Lepe took his time and answered all of my questions! He fixed up my ear after an urgent care had made my symptoms worse ??. Cannot recommend enough!

Despite booking appointment with Doctor Paul, I never saw Dr Paul in the office and another doctor was assigned with my appointment. I was not informed Dr Paul will not see me personally till after CT scan was done and I moved to a room and was asked to wait for the doctor.

For a doctor’s office to follow up on how your feeling the next day is rare but I received a phone call right away to ask how I was doing and to make sure all my questions were answered. Makes a huge difference.

My first visit was with a PA that was very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. The staff was very friendly. After taking tests the PA came up with plan options . Since I had been having sinus and vertigo for so long she suggested a procedure using balloons to open sinus passages. I jumped at the chance. Dr Shlep Lepe performed the procedure a few days later. He was very nice, explained that he had studied my scans and felt this would really help. He told me what was happening through each step and made me very comfortable. I would recommend this clinic and Dr to anyone having sinus issues. They take the time to listen, are professional and have all of the equipment in office to run tests and make a diagnosis.

Would not recommend. Went here twice with a lingering sore throat that had been bothering me for over a month at the time of my first appt. They didn’t order a throat culture either time (1.5 months between the two appts), said “doesn’t look like an infection” and prescribed anti-inflammation/allergy/acid meds. Following their advice, I waited another month after the second appt and when the sore throat still didn’t go away, I went to a new doctor who was shocked that I hadn’t gotten a throat culture done yet. They ordered one and it came back positive, and prescribed me antibiotics for it (took a total of 3 days from seeing the doctor to finding the problem). Feel like all of this could have been done in my first appointment saving me 3 months of trouble.
Also, you don’t really see the doctor you make the appointment for on Zocdoc. You see the PAs and that is fine, just something to be aware of.

The front office staff, medical assistant (Kylie), resident, PA (Maya), and the office manager Andrew each took their time with me and allowed me to ask any and every question I had. Each staff member contributed positively to my experience with their friendliness, knowledge about the procedure the consultation was for, and efficiency. Maya (PA-C) was incredibly kind, patient, and thorough as she walked me through the entire process and examination. She provided ample details, had quick answers for all of my questions, and gave me clear hand-written notes. She helped offer advice and examples for beneficial future procedures with no pressure to schedule anything.
