Her longstanding love for children naturally led her into the field of pediatrics. Dr. Brito earned her medical degree at Fundacao Tecnico Educacional Souza Marques, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and completed general pediatric residency training at the University of South Florida College of Medicine. Dr. Brito also completed a visiting fellowship in pediatric nephrology at the University of Minnesota College of Medicine. Outside the practice, Dr. Brito volunteers at Can Do Canines and You are Not Alone, supporting children and families in the community. She enjoys crocheting, knitting, baking, hiking, traveling, and spending weekends at the lake with her family.
