Extremely knowledgeable about the plan of action that should be used. She was a great listener and for the first time I felt comfortable talking to someone. I would recommend her to any recently discharged member of the armed forces to bypass all of the VA'S red tape in regards to appointment schedules. The staff was remarkable as well.

Medicine, and psychiatry, in particular is rapidly changing with ever-expanding scientific knowledge, changing needs of well-informed clients, and growing introspection by the field, itself, of concepts such as "disorder" and "wellness". In my practice I strive to bring together these and other dimensions to offer treatment that best meets my clients' needs.
I have learned most of what I know about psychiatric practice from my former career as a college counseling center psychiatrist. I now enjoy consulting with and treating adults of all ages. Whether offering psychiatric medication treatment or psychotherapy, I begin by completing a thorough psychiatric assessment. I have broad experience treating depression, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and eating disorder. I enjoy educating clients who may be new to medication treatment and have reservations about it. I work best with clients who are looking to incorporate medication treatment with other therapeutic options such as psychotherapy, lifestyle change, exercise, and mindfulness-based approaches. Though I do not offer specific treatment for addictions, I address self-medication issues and substance abuse issues with all clients.
One of the joys of my practice is getting to talk to my clients. I feel fortunate that my work allows me to have meaningful encounter with clients from diverse social, ethnic, religious, sexual and gender orientation, physical ability, and international backgrounds. Being of a bicultural identity myself, I feel at ease with diversity of many kinds.
Some basic information: I do not accept insurance but I can provide invoices to clients. Also, all potential clients must have contact with my assistant, Viktoria, before appointment can be confirmed.

There was a miscommunication between my pharmacy and Dr. Rana's office, when I explained she blantantly accused me of lying, didn't apologize when she realized the issue. I had 3 very expensive appointments with her prior and this really ruined my trust in this medical field. What a waste of money.
